Pressing the analysis button sends conversation text to external AI. The absence of an application database does not remove the need to review what you upload.
Edit a copy yourself
In a fictional message, “Sam: My number is 010-1234-5678 and I live at apartment X” can become “A: I sent contact details.” Use the same alias throughout. Review phone numbers, email, accounts, addresses, workplaces and sensitive circumstances. Context can identify a person even after a name is changed.
Know what is not provided
Chat Analyzer does not automatically mask personal information. Removing timestamps is not anonymization. There is no application database feature for storing conversations, but hosting and AI providers may have their own operational records and processing rules.
Send a smaller relevant section
Keep only the exchange needed for your question, including enough preceding context to understand replies. Removing a question while keeping its answer can change the apparent meaning. Do not upload confidential material or text that you cannot adequately anonymize.
Review saved results too
AI may repeat aliases or phrases from the source. Saved images and shared files may also remain on your device. Check before sharing and remove unnecessary local files yourself. See the privacy notice and provider terms for external processing conditions.
Editing one scene before submission
This is an invented editing example, not a customer record. Original: “Alex: My meeting with the named department will run late. Come to my full home address at eight and call my personal number.” If your question is how a changed plan was communicated, the department, address and number are unnecessary.
Edited: “A: Work will finish late tomorrow. Let’s meet at the agreed place at eight. / B: Okay. Let me know before you leave.” The request and response still make sense. This transformation is manual; the tool does not perform it for you.
Removing too much changes the question
Keeping only “B: Okay” removes what B accepted. Keeping months of chat includes unrelated private information. Preserve the question, relevant answer and any correction or agreement as one scene. Use the same alias for each person throughout. Switching A and B halfway through can reverse who appears to have made a suggestion.
What to search for in the copy
Search for email markers, phone numbers, address terms, account numbers and booking references. Then read the full passage: a nickname, job title or distinctive event can identify someone without matching those searches. This is a practical review process, not a guarantee of anonymization.
Submission and sharing need separate checks
Save and reopen the edited copy to confirm your changes, then select that file. After analysis, inspect the result image for names, locations or identifying events. A reduced input does not automatically make the output suitable for public sharing.
